Scalloping is done in 3-6 feet of water in the grass flats between Crystal River and Homosassa. Floating around and slowly swimming with a mask and snorkel as you look into the grass for them. Once you spot one just dive down and pick it up out of the grass and put it in your bag.

What to expect

I will meet at one of the local marinas or any waterfront hotel or house you request that is on the Crystal River

A short ride down the river and through the back country out to the crystal clear bay 

The water is crystal clear and between 3-6 feet depending on the height of the tide

The scallops lay in the grass and its like a easter egg hunt to swim around and collect them
